So, yesterday, it occured to me that most of us are pretty avid readers. And then I thought, HEY! What if we had a real imaginary book club?
Do you kids want to do that? We could pick a book and then post reviews/opinions/discuss in the comments.
Whattaya say?
This week I'm reading

read the reviews here . I purchased it on sale at Barnes and Noble, in hardback for under $5
I joined a bookclub...chick lit type but I can't find the books. I can afford to buy them, I would go to the library but they are too new to be on the shelves at my local lieberry....
ReplyDeleteSooo...I have to say it a great idea but I have to bow out.
My F2f book club mostly buys our selections from Wal-Mart for just that reason. Although this week, we all hated the book, so we cut the meeting short and went to B&N, where we happened to find enough of one book on the bargain rack. Tell you what, you can be a lurking member and if you can FIND the book, you can join in! Nobody has to read all the books if they don't want to...
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading...i just finished the Shack
ReplyDeleteI'm in. (sometimes)
ReplyDeleteI will read it only if you read WWZ or the Zombie Survival guide.
ReplyDeleteIf I hadn't just started grad school, I would totally be in... can I be a lurking member too?
ReplyDeleteOf course you can! And everyone is welcome to chime in even if they haven't read the book at all!
ReplyDeleteI'm. I read most of your list in yesterday's post.
ReplyDeleteBut I don't usually have any Deep Thoughts about the books I read.
I just started New Moon. Never thought I'd be into the vampire series, who'da thunk?
I am with you Thystle- I just have about 200 pages of the new Wally lamb to bang through this weeken, then I will ht Borders and buy this and we can TALK ABOUT IT NEXT WEEK OKAY? Can u tell I am excited? Were I a puppy, I would be peeing right about now.
